2FA – 2-Factor Authentication System

A 2-step authentication system called 2FA is an additional layer of security that helps protect your company data.

Cyber attacks, which are becoming more and more dangerous day by day, make it obligatory for companies to apply more advanced methods in this area. The 2-step authentication system (2FA) is one of the most widely used security measures today. Services supported by username and password information, as well as a 2FA system, have higher security against cyberattacks and data theft. This additional security system works with common single-use code validation. For example; the user who logs in to the application or system is directed to the 2FA stage after entering their login information. At this stage, the user is authorized by the 2FA system with different authorization  methods. Among these methods are:
Physical 2FA validators called hardware 2FA tools.
2FA verification  by  SMS phone messages.
Application and software-based instant verification called software
Methods such as fingerprint, retina and biometric recognition are also preferred.
Companies can support the security of their data by choosing one or more of the 2FA verification methods to suit their infrastructure. Because systems protected only by a username and password offer a fairly low level of security, hackers can easily bypass such simple protection methods thanks to advanced software to intercept personal data and accounts. For this reason, it is especially recommended that companies turn to additional protection measures such as 2FA.
